Websites for Central and Northern Michigan businesses.

We build and run websites for Michigan businesses that cover a lot of ground, including Lewis Bros Inc, a heating, cooling and refrigeration company in Coleman that serves 40 counties.

In short

Risen builds custom websites for Michigan businesses, including Lewis Bros Inc, a heating, cooling and refrigeration contractor at 510 East Webster Street in Coleman that serves Central and Northern Michigan. For businesses covering wide rural areas, we focus on making the service area, services and phone number unmistakable. Your website is paid for with an agreed donation to Majesty International, a 501(c)(3), and optional monthly services have set prices.

Serving a wide area well

Central and Northern Michigan businesses often cover a huge territory with a small team. The Midland metro, home to Coleman, has about 84,000 residents,[1] and Midland County had 111 specialty trade contractor businesses in 2023, 24 of them plumbing and HVAC.[2] A contractor here may be the only option for miles, or one of a few. Either way, customers in a town 60 miles away need to know quickly that you come to them.

Our Michigan client: Lewis Bros Inc

Lewis Bros is a heating, cooling and refrigeration company at 510 East Webster Street in Coleman, "Serving Central & Northern Michigan" across 40 counties. With an area that large, the site has three jobs: make clear what Lewis Bros does for homes and for businesses, show plainly which counties they cover, and put the phone number within one tap. What matters for a rural service-area website

  • One strong service-area section, not 40 copy-paste town pages. Google's spam policies call out pages "targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page."[3] A clear county list or map does the job honestly.
  • Distance counts on Google. Google ranks local results partly by distance,[4] so far-away searches are harder. Reviews and a complete profile help you show up anyway.
  • Phone first. In rural areas, most customers would rather call than fill in a form. Make calling the easiest action on every page.
  • Separate residential and commercial. A restaurant owner with a failing walk-in cooler and a homeowner with a cold furnace need different pages.

Getting started

  1. Tell us about your business with the project form.
  2. We set up a short call and agree on the donation amount.
  3. You get a preview link, tell us what to change, and we launch.

Common questions

I serve dozens of small towns. Do I need a page for each one?

Usually not. Google warns against near-identical pages that only swap the town name. A clear service-area page or map, plus genuinely different pages where your work really differs, serves customers better.

Can you help a commercial refrigeration business?

Yes. Lewis Bros does residential heating and cooling as well as commercial refrigeration, and its site gives each audience its own path.

How much does a website cost?

The website itself is paid for with a donation to Majesty International, a 501(c)(3), agreed before we start based on the size of the project. Optional monthly services like business email and blog posts have set prices on our pricing page.
