Risen builds custom websites for Upstate South Carolina businesses, including Alpine Cool, a heating and air company based in Spartanburg County that serves Spartanburg and Greenville counties. We handle design, hosting, Google Business Profile setup and FiveStar review requests. Your website is paid for with an agreed donation to Majesty International, a 501(c)(3), and optional monthly services have set prices.
One of the fastest-growing regions in the Southeast
The Upstate is booming. The Spartanburg metro grew 14.8% from 2020 to 2025, to 407,656 people, and the Greenville-Anderson-Greer metro grew 9.3%, passing one million.[1] Some towns grew much faster: Greer by about 41%, Fountain Inn by about 41%, Mauldin by about 27% and Simpsonville by about 22%.[2]
Every new subdivision needs heating and air, plumbing, electrical and roofing work, and every new homeowner starts by searching on Google. The competition is real too. In 2023, Greenville County had 942 specialty trade contractor businesses and Spartanburg County had 487, including 311 plumbing and HVAC contractors between them.[3]
Our Upstate client: Alpine Cool
Alpine Cool is a heating and air company based in Spartanburg County, serving all of Spartanburg and Greenville counties: Greenville, Greer, Spartanburg, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Taylors, Five Forks, Boiling Springs, Fountain Inn and Travelers Rest. They don't have a walk-in shop, so the website does the work a storefront would. It explains the services clearly, lists every town they cover, and makes calling or booking easy from a phone. Alpine Cool also uses FiveStar, our review request tool, to ask every customer for a Google review after each job. Google counts reviews toward a business's local prominence.[6]
What matters for an Upstate website
- List the towns you serve. New residents search by the town they just moved to. A clear service-area list helps them, and helps Google match you to their search.
- Use a service area if you work from home. Google's guidelines say service-area businesses should hide their address and list the areas they serve.[5]
- Show your license. South Carolina's LLR licenses residential builders and specialty contractors.[4] Show your license number and link to the state lookup.
- Make summer emergencies easy. When an AC unit fails in July, people call whoever answers first. Put a tap-to-call button at the top of every page.

Common questions
Do you work with businesses in both Greenville and Spartanburg?
Yes. Our client Alpine Cool serves both counties, and we work with businesses anywhere in the Upstate and the rest of South Carolina.
I don't have a storefront. How do I show up on Google Maps?
Set up your Google Business Profile as a service-area business: hide your address and list the cities you serve. Alpine Cool works this way, with no walk-in shop and a clear list of the towns it covers.
Can my site show my South Carolina license?
Yes. South Carolina's Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation handles contractor licensing. We show your license number and link to the state's lookup so customers can verify it.
How much does a website cost?
The website itself is paid for with a donation to Majesty International, a 501(c)(3), agreed before we start based on the size of the project. Optional monthly services like business email and blog posts have set prices on our pricing page.
